Flourless Chocolate Cake
Chocolate Beanana Cake, and a Corner of Heaven
There are those people who say that chocolate items can be too rich or too decadent; I have never understood those people. But my body has.
I have no self-control when it comes to flourless chocolate cake, as I think it might be one of my favorite foods, and every spring I am overcome with a need to make one. But this spring I decided to break the cycle.
Not that I wasn’t going to make a flourless chocolate cake, but I wasn’t going to make a flourless chocolate cake that left me in a sugar coma contemplating my decision to eat a quarter of a cake in one sitting.
This cake is creamy, chocolatey, and the layers of sweetness from prunes, banana, and smoked maple syrup make a cake that I keep coming back for another slice, but luckily when I eat a quarter cake in one sitting I still feel great.
