I Found My Why
New beginnings, fear, and a love of legumes
Bean Supporters,
I used to talk about legume limerence, but I think the limerence may be gone. The beans have come knocking:
“Madeline, please show the world how luxurious we can be.”
My only answer is - yes.
Nine months ago I only ate beans for 30 days. I never intended to create a Substack, become an “influencer”, or get recognized in the street. I simply wanted to get out of a funk that had me mainlining chocolate bars on my couch with my hormones yelling due to lack of soluble fiber I had been supplying them with.
I thought, what if I only eat beans for 30 days to get a bit more creative in my bean cookery and maybe gain traction and awareness for beans: the most affordable, powerful, hormone-curing, life-saving, nutrient-packed, and planet-backed food there is.
Much more is to be said on the power of beans, but hopefully you will allow me to tell their wonders on my own terms.
Traction grew, there are somehow now 85,000 bean supporters across platforms. I’ve decided I can no longer spend 40 hours a week sitting at a desk when the soluble fiber is whispering sweet nothings in my ear.
Back in July I wrote you all my first article: Why Beans.
My Why has never changed, but my confidence has.
So here we are, on a bean blog, but this time, my desk is beans.
Thank you for your support, now more than ever.
Xoxo,
Bean Supporter
